Speedometer (“the app”) measures your speed using your device's GPS. This page explains what it does with your information, which is essentially nothing.

Data we collect

None. The app does not collect, store, transmit or share any personal data.

Location

The app asks for access to your device's precise location solely to calculate your current speed and trip distance. Location is processed on your device only, and only while the app is showing on screen or in its small floating (mini) window. It is not saved, uploaded or shared with anyone, and the app does not track you in the background or when your screen is off.

The app declares no internet permission, so it cannot send data off your device.

What is stored on your device

Only your settings: your unit choice (km/h or mph) and whether the mini window feature is on. Trip figures such as maximum speed and distance are kept in memory while the app runs and are not saved.

Third parties

The app uses Google Play services' location API to obtain GPS readings from your device. It contains no advertising, analytics or tracking software.

This website

This website does not use cookies, analytics or third-party scripts, fonts or embeds. Like any web server, the host may keep standard technical logs (such as IP address and time of request) for security and reliability.

The app contains a link to hasanai.space. It opens in your browser only if you tap it, and that site has its own policies.

Children

The app does not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new date.
